Artificial Grass – Yarn Types
Here at PermaLawn our artificial grass solutions are constructed in one of three different yarn types, each designed to be used for specific situations dependent upon the requirements of our customers.
What are artificial grass yarns?
Artificial grass yarns are the individual synthetic fibres which make up the artificial grass. They are in essence the artificial versions of real grass strands.
Artificial yarns are measured by the m2 and each of PermaLawn’s artificial grass technical specifications have this number clearly stated. Usually the higher this number the heavier and better quality the artificial grass is, but this is not always the case as PermaLawn’s 13mm St Andrews, which is ideal as putting grass for golfing greens, has a high yarn count but does not weigh as much as some other grasses.
Please find below details and technical specifications for each of PermaLawn’s current artificial grass yarn types.
C-Shape 2.0 Shaped Yarns
Here at PermaLawn our artificial grass solutions which utilise the C-shape 2.0 yarn type are best suited for use in schools, nurseries, exhibitions, gardens etc.
The latest in artificial grass yarn technology, the C-shape 2.0 yarn style contains micro-ribs which provide a number of advantages including:
Heat reduction across the whole lawn – The improved thermal properties means our artificial grass can handle the summer heat, making it ideal for use outside.
No shine for the purest realism – With a deep and rich colour, C-shape 2.0 provides a realistic alternative to natural lawns.
Extreme durability and flexibility – This allows PermaLawn’s artificial grass to last for a number of years virtually maintenance free!
